Our First Time...

Yesterday(Monday) was Wanda's birthday. I had a hard time trying to decide what to get a woman who has everything or wants real expensive things we can't afford. I debated on a gift or going to a movie and dinner. The movie and dinner won out.
We have been together almost 5 years and married almost 2 1/2 years. During that time we had never gone to a movie. She chose to see Mamma Mia. I have to say, even though I'm not real fond of musicals, this movie was good. It takes place in Greece. There are parts which make you laugh right out loud and I even saw Wanda with tears in her eyes several times. (She cries with commercials).
I have to say Wandas gift was a hit this year. I hope we don't have to wait 5 more years to see another movie.

I love movies, I probably go twice a month. I just love to escape for a few hours.

I'm glad and shocked that you liked it. I saw the movie with my 16 year old sister and we loved it. I never thought a man would enjoy it. I bet your wife was super happy. That is so nice :)

Funnily enough I have just got back home this evening after seeing the film myself.

I hate the cinema, finding it uncomfortable and cramped. But I am so pleased my girls persuaded me to go with them tonight.

What a fantasic film. And it is certainly one that needs to be seen on the big screen.

Mind you I did cringe when Peirs Brosnon started singing, lol.

Crikey, of course I meant Pierce Brosnan, lol. I do wish we could edit our comments when we make a typing error.

    @ Lisa,
    Shocked??? LOL!!
When those three girls broke out into singing right at the first of the movie, I thought to myself, OH NOOO!! Here I done got stuck into a freaking musical! LOL!
Ok, normaling I have always HATED musiacls. But I do say this one was a good movie. The singing was a lot more up beat than normally in an every day musical. And there was a good story to it than just a normal love story. So yeah, it was good, but it was also one of those movies that I wouldn't care to see but once.

    @ Lady Banana,
$17.85 ???????? WOW! Is that for just one person? It was $10.00 for each of us to get in. Gee, we can buy most any DVD movie over here for around $20.00. So if I had to pay $17, then I'd rather just buy it. ;) But we got two large drinks while there and they cost us $9.00. LOL

Hi everyone and thanks a lot for stopping by! :)
