Three weeks behind me.

I now have eight chords down. Even getting that annoying "C" chord done, finally! Some how it's true, if you keep trying and it will start happening. :-)
Tonight's lesson went pretty easy and he didn't give me any new chords to learn.

But he wants me to now start learning to change chords, smoothly. Not why on earth did I not see that coming??? LOL!

One thing I am learning out of this, is a musicians life is not as full of fun and roses as I often thought it would be. I can see there's a lot of work and I can't even play one song yet. Much less even think of being able to play many songs.
*on to another busy week* ;-)

    Hi Karen and Mike Golch!

Karen, Mine too. My fingers totally HURT and my finger tips are sore, but the tips are starting to toughen up.

Mike I am hanging in for life on the guitar. I'm hooked now and honestly, I know it takes time even if I want it now, but I really don't care how long it takes. When it's time, I'll get it all together. ;-)

    Thanks for stopping by! :-)

Eight chords is enough to play quite a few songs! Good for you! I bet your fingers aren't sore when you're playing your guitar though, just afterward. LOL You'll be playing tunes in no time at all now. It's a good place to be!!!

I'm so happy for you! Remember, practice makes perfect, and soon you will be great!!

You'll get to the "musician's life" soon enough, it's just getting by the learning stage that is tough.

    Take care,
    Kat

I'm envious. I have a piano sitting in my living room that I would love to know how to play. But I just don't have the time (or patience) to learn it. I tried to teach myself from a book, but that only got me frustrated. Thank goodness, mine is a player piano...otherwise, I might never hear the thing at all.

Keep at it and before you know it, you'll be strumming a song!
